Handmade sculpture and vinyl cover design
Isolation and loneliness are key emotions portrayed in Interstellar by Christopher Nolan. Contrarily, there are also strong themes of love and human connection. I interpreted these contrasting ideas through a surreal sculpture created with plaster and wire. Joining these two separate materials was a representation of the connection between father and daughter throughout impossible circumstances, while the placing of the sculpture - alone in a vast expanse - shows the distance and loneliness both characters felt while not together.
